Hollywood Besties (Victoria Beckham & Dita Von Teese)

I'm sure everyone had those days where you and your best friend just have to wear identical outfits(eg. colour, accessories, length, formality, etc.) whenever you're out together? I think thats what Victoria Beckham and Dita Von Teese did when they arrived at the Roland Mouret Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2008 collection in Paris yesterday along with (surprise surprise~) Claudia Schiffer. You just gotta hand it to Mrs Beckham here for her network of friends.

Both, Victoria and Dita's wearing Roland Mouret dresses, Christian Louboutin shoes and celebrities staple oversized glasses. What Dita had on is called the "Moon dress" which Victoria also own one, in pink, where she wore it last summer. And of course, being Victoria Beckham, you just have to stand out with the fur coat and (her new) purple hermes birkin bag. Of course :)

John Galliano

Drama drama drama~~~

What I really like about John Galliano's that he's able make things so wrong into something right. And for his case, I don't see his collection slideshow as a clothing line. Its art and if you like to put it, costumes.
Something interesting about his shows is that he does not only pay attention to the outfits, make-up has always been an anticipation in the fashion industry. He's still working on the warrior/battle theme I guess but still, its a complete different direction. In fall 08, imagine yourself heading for a battle up in the icy mountains with bless from the angels and curses from the demons along the way and with victory finally on hands, sing your way back home with troupes joining the fun while you drag those prisoners of war. Yea, I said it, DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA~~

Alright, back to the pieces. One of my favourite group of ideas are the textured/sewed-up pants with something that looks like leggings. He worked the winter layering concept with chunky pieces and boots which balanced out the bottom parts. Most of them are still wearable but with extreme caution as you wouldn't wanna be attracting negative attentions.

On the side note, some of the boots just reminded me of those Christian Louboutin boots(ashley olsen's favourite)

Really sorry for the low quality though, just can't enlarge the picture in the website.

Emanuel Ungaro Fall 08

Not really familiar with this designer but this collection just appeals so much to me. There's this egyptologist-chic thing going on throughout the show with the settings and model's grooming and all. It plays with female elements CORRECTLY(Prada, please note...) without being too gaultier-ish which needs digestion. Very chic, very classy with character and direction.

Loving the fedoras, high-waist trousers, different plays of the scarfs(wearing it like a shawl, tucking it behind belts or waistcoats) and the waist belts. DAMN! LOVING EVERYTHING!

Prada Fall 08 "Too Much"?

Prada's name in the Men's fashion industry didn't had the chance to stand out and so, maybe this is the reason for their latest collection pieces.
I mean, I've always been a supporter of feminized masculinity cause it just make men's fashion much more interesting and all but I just think that NO ONE's gonna look great with what Prada came out with.

See what i meant? As clean cut as ever, Prada still managed to make me take a step back a little, and you should know there's nothing good about it. With ULTRA short skirt over trousers and that thing that looks like a leather underwear pulled up to the waist, I don't think even david beckham can pull it off.

My only favourite put-together piece is the fifth pic with the all red suit and rubber+leather-looking boots. Nice.

Victoria Beckham For Marc Jacobs

Well, you might or might not already know, Victoria Beckham was announced to be the new face for Marc Jacobs spring 2008 advertising campaign 2 months back. Just yesterday, Marc Jacobs revealed some of the pictures in that advertising campaign and it just left me O.O''.

I've never been a fan of Marc Jacobs but somehow, I kinda liked those advertising pictures above. Creative and just enhanced Victoria's sense of humor even more. :D

Trend report

Another old-fashion inspired trend,

Well, being a trendsetter mary-kate is with her signature boho-chic style, its no doubt that she would pull some ideas from the *peace* 60s era, hippie style. This trend is for the daredevils, like mary-kate herself, who are not afraid for being different as this trend is still not the big thing yet. Its slowly making fashionistas in the celebrity world to own 1 and I THINK, its something that people will notice by S/S this year.

But if you ask me, I'll prefer a headband that do serve a purpose like keeping the hair back like how posh did with black normal headbands here for example:

Trend Report

Alright, I think its offically a trend right now. Here it comes:

this model here, agyness deyn, is named as the next kate moss for her funky style. to me, well, just another indie. anyway, this pic's taken at the backstage of the Karl Lagerfeld Spring 2008 show. n yes, its a pose :)

Yup yup... It really is. Its currently in the process of gaining popularity and attracting followers in the the western side. So what you think?! Would you follow the westerners and be one of the first Singaporeans to hit town(haven't seen anyone here wearing it) with it or you would just treat as A TREND like any other which you couldn't care any lesser(like me..).
we'll see how if it would eventually sail its way here. But I'm almost 70% sure that its gonna be something since agyness deyn wore it.
