Milan S/S 09: Prada

How can I not post about one of the most anticipated and important shows every season?

Now, Miuccia Prada's work ALWAYS needs digestion. Anything new, mostly, there would be poor reviews. But as fashion evolves, within that year, her designs would somehow magically turn into such an impact, then celebrities and fashionistas would be in them uncontrollably subsequently.

I don't have to say it, the lace from fall 08 epitomized perfectly.

For this season, there's thisgrungy, mischievous glamour spreading across the pieces with crumpled fabrics, asymmetrical python prints dresses, coats and jackets over high-waisted skirts and the closing series of gold dresses.

As all would expect, not many people are feeling love for this collection(for now). But somehow, I really do like it. Aside from being Miuccia Prada's creations, I really love the overall mix-and-match of the pieces.
I also find it really interesting how all the individual piece are fasten with strings/cloth. And the little details of the show are really well-thought of, like the Victorian socks in HIGH heels(which caused some poor models to stumble).
Overall, I like the pieces. But just hope Miuccia Prada would care more for the models? Uncomfortable and extreme high heels for this season, a long steep slope last season, it's really hard to be a model.
