NY S/S 09: Proenza Schouler

Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough take on their Proenza Schouler line for the 08 S/S season was a huge hit, with everyone striking down the streets with the Safari theme.
This year, though, it's nothing near that. It's all about being sophisticated, modern and contemporary or even, dare I say, futuristic.

Blazers are further sculptured from the shoulders down to the cuffs, which creates such interesting silhouette as it move down the runway.
Strips are definitely back, and Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough took created such criss-cross details really do compliments the shape.
Latex surprisingly appeared on the parquet runway for me, but in a good way. Who knew latex could look so good as a cropped 90s inspired top or as an overall?
Another interesting elements are those plastically material garments with the crispy texture and rough light reflection. Especially the neckline details of the white jumpsuit.
Evening wear see the use of sequins and satins, which is also an essential touch for an attention catching night event.
